My reading list for 2021 served multiple purposes.
It did blow up my ego and made me feel inside that I am doing something.
I know for a fact that no one witnesses my growing list. Keeping up with the present times, the performer or the exhibitionist in me was rejoicing at the act of showcasing what I tried to convince myself was an accomplishment.
Using an analogy, the origin of this word I read somewhere is connected with analog and real, the post was me posing for the camera at the end of the selfie stick.
On a positive note, I believe the act did put some fire on the procrastinating lazy bum - of me / that is me.
I have evidence to back up my previous statement.
Today is Jan 21, 2022. I don't have a list or there is no title that I can add to a list.
I started multiple books this year. The number of books that I completed = a big ZERO.
The observer and the experimenter in me are telling me the guinea pig - Purpose, even if it actually means a narcissistic, delusional, self adulating way of pampering my ego, is important.
You know what, I am reluctantly going to start a 2022 list.
My aim this year is not to be a conventional conformist and read books from cover to cover so I can show-pony my ego in front of me, the sole reader of my blog.
I will try to consume books in my nibbly selective eater style way.
I will turn on my indulgent mode and focus only on the grainy centre of the ripe watermelon. If I still am hungry and the red melony flesh closer to the whites and greens has something for me I may indeed finish the watermelon - in FULL.
By the way, watermelon is my favourite fruit.
